Culgaith parish
January 31, 2011 in Uncategorized by culgaith
The parish of Culgaith is situated on the East Fellside in the Eden Valley. It includes the villages of Culgaith, Skirwith, Blencarn and Kirkland. Whilst broadband speeds are not too bad in Culgaith, the situation is much worse in Skirwith and Blencarn. The worst hit area is Kirkland, a small hamlet at the foot of Cross Fell - the highest point of the Pennines. The Parish Council is taking an active interest in the broadband campaign and is keen that all the community should have access to high speed broadband.
NextGenUs gave a presentation to the local community at its the Annual Parish Meeting in Blencarn on April 11th 2011. Â This led to an interesting discussion and lively debate.
That’s great news. Good luck with the campaign.
