Yes, Charles, thank-you. It was very helpful and easy to follow as you can see on http://matterdale.broadband.com. Picasa has a handy ’crop’ option which you can customise to the ratio 74:1 and choose a ’slice’ of photo.

We do not really know what will happen when a community has its own very high speed network. If the role of the remote ISP can be reduced by local servers and caching and applications in the community. Who can predict the socio-economic benefits - but care is needed to avoid new threats. We are pushing for better broadband for the whole Burton exchange area as only those properties within Burton get reasonable speeds currently. Those in Holme, Yealand and the outlying areas get abysmal speeds so this campaign will help them greatly. See more here
